About

Atelihai!

Welcome to Inua ᐃᓄᐊ!

Inua ᐃᓄᐊ is an Indigenous-owned practice offering client-centered counselling and mindset coaching, and other unique social support services.

In Inuit mythology, inua refers to a spirit that exists within every part of nature - people, animals, plants, lakes, even mountains. Inua is not an individual soul, but rather a life force shared by all the individual spirits of that genus - past, present, and future.

Inua ᐃᓄᐊ services are provided with recognition of that shared life force, and honour the dignity and worth of all beings.

In Reconciliation:

Inua's commitment to reconciliation starts with taking this opportunity to acknowledge our honour and privilege to live and work within the Treaty 7 territory. Inua acknowledges the traditional and ancestral territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, and the Kainai Nations), the Tsuut’ina, and the Stoney Nakoda (Chiniki, Bearspaw and Wesley First Nations). In addition, Inua acknowledges that the City of Calgary is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. Finally, Inua acknowledges all nations, genders and spirits who live, work and play in the Treaty 7 Region of Southern Alberta, who help us steward this land, and honour and celebrate this territory.
